Stasi Prisoner Tells His Story FLASH VERSION
The East German secret police, known as the Stasi, arrested Eberhard Zahn in 1953, accusing him of being a spy. He was held for seven years in various facilities including one that kept the prisoners isolated during their interrogation period. Zahn said he kept his sanity by reciting Shakespearean sonnets in his cell.
