Obama Admin Faces Instability in Key Nuclear Nations

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Nuclear tests in North Korea, violence in Pakistan and a diplomatic stalemate with Iran has complicated nuclear diplomacy for the United States.

Former Carter official Zbigniew Brzezinski and Philip Zelikow, foreign adviser under President Bush, consider the new world.

After the International Atomic Energy Agency released a report saying Iran's suspected research into nuclear weapons remained "a matter of serious concern," analysts examined what actions the international community should take.

With India's demand for electricity expected to more than double by the year 2015, the country is attempting to increase its reliance on nuclear energy. The NewsHour reports from India on the country's growing nuclear industry.

Since 1945 when the United States detonated the world's first atomic bomb, eight other nations have built nuclear weapons and nearly two dozen others are suspected of seeking nuclear technology. (Requires Flash)
