Excavation, 1907
Many of the museum's skeletons come from the Carnegie Quarry -- now Dinosaur National Monument -- in Utah. Carnegie Quarry was one of the richest sources of Jurassic Period dinosaur skeletons in the world, 20 were found in all. This photo shows two horses pulling a bone that's been packed in plaster.
