An unusual coalition of sportsmen and environmentalists has joined forces to oppose drilling for natural gas in the Wyoming range. Wyoming residents might once have supported drilling, since the state's economy depends on it. But now they're worried that derricks, roads and trucks will ruin the pristine area. Spencer Michels reports from Wyoming.

| Gary Amerine -- an outfitter who brings hunters and fishermen into the Wyoming Range –- takes his daughter and NewsHour correspondent Spencer Michels for a ride. Amerine is concerned that the range he uses for his expeditions will be overrun by the gas industry if the federal goverment decides to allow drilling. |
