San Fransisco Ballet staged America’s first full Nutcracker in 1944, but it is the version that current Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson created in 2004 that audiences enjoy today. “What distinguishes my current production of this holiday classic,” said Tomasson, “is that it's set in San Francisco around the time of the Pan Pacific International Exposition in 1915.”
