By: Hari Sreenivasan

Columnists Mark Shields and David Brooks swung by the newsroom after the Friday broadcast to ponder a litany of subjects, including the apparent winners and losers at Thursday's hearing with BP CEO Tony Hayward, along with comments by Rep. Joe Barton that seemed to steal the spotlight.

We also discussed the Obama administration's reported decision to wade back into the immigration fight in Arizona with a lawsuit, and the thrill of victory for the Los Angeles Lakers) and the agony of a tie for the U.S. World Cup team and its fans -- caused by a referee's disputed call, which Brooks said "completely robbed" the American squad.
