On Both Sides of Same-Sex Marriage Debate, Awaiting a Prop 8 Verdict

By: Hari Sreenivasan

It's been a long, slow summer for those waiting for a verdict in the legal dispute over Proposition 8. Californians went to the polls and voted Proposition 8 into law, overturning a state Supreme Court decision that said gays have a constitutional right to marry.

We check in with Scott Shafer of KQED who has attended nearly every day of the trial. In addition to being the daily host of the California Report he has also been blogging the proceedings as California and the nation wait for a verdict. For more on the topic, see KQED's special coverage.
