By: News Desk

Amid new headlines on the continued need for humanitarian aid in Pakistan as the country grapples with deadly floods, we've received a few questions on how to help. So we've put together a list of some of the organizations involved in the response effort.

Updated Aug. 20: On Thursday's NewsHour, Richard Holbrooke, the U.S. special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, said Americans who want to contribute to the relief effort can text SWAT to the number 50555 and send $10 to the U.N. refugee commission.

International Red Cross

CARE

Catholic Relief Services

Doctors Without Borders

International Rescue Committee

Islamic Relief USA

Oxfam America

Relief International

Save the Children

UNICEF

World Vision

And InterAction has their own list of groups working to respond.

We'll continue to cover the Pakistan story on Wednesday's NewsHour and here on the Rundown. Stay tuned.
