TROUBLING NEW POLLS FOR DEMOCRATS | Two new polls show that President Obama's approval ratings continue to slip as midterm elections approach. Amid the grim poll numbers, Obama announced a new plan for business tax cuts. Political editor David Chalian tells the story behind the poll numbers and what the president's plan could mean for midterms.

RESCUE EFFORTS FOR CHILE MINERS | It has been a month since the initial collapse of a coal mine in Northern Chile that left 33 miners trapped underground. Jeffrey Brown talks to Tom Bearden about the ongoing rescue efforts.

QURAN-BURNING IN FLORIDA | The actions of a preacher in Florida are fearful of creating huge problems for U.S. civilians and soldiers in Afghanistan. Pastor Terry Jones plans to burn the Koran on Saturday to mark the ninth anniversary 9/11. The announcement has set off protests in Kabul and General David Petraeus warns Jones's actions could put American lives in danger.

CRAIGSLIST CENSORS ADULT SERVICES SECTION | The largest classified website, Craigslist.org, self-censored itself by shutting down the adult services section after accusations that clients were using it to sell sex. Judy Woodruff has more on the story and the fallout from the decision.

DANCER HONORED AT THE WHITE HOUSE| Dancer and Choreographer Judith Jamison will be honored at the White House today in Michelle Obama's dance series. Earlier this year Jeffrey Brown did a profile on Jamison who is the director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York. The encore profile will be featured on tonight's program.
