Presidential Visit Elicits Mixed Reactions from Indonesians
Two years after being elected, President Obama has returned to his boyhood home of Indonesia. The shortened trip, only 24 hours, is the second stop on his 10-day Asia tour.
Despite still reeling from a recent tsunami and exploding volcano, Indonesians tuned in to watch Air Force One touch down in Jakarta. Will Carless of GlobalPost spent much of the day soliciting local opinion of the presidential visit. He tells Hari Sreenivasan that while many are apprehensive about America's policies, particularly concerning Islam, most Indonesians are quick to welcome the president to the country where he spent four years as a boy.
