Morganza Spillway Before and After Photos Released

After engineers opened the Morganza spillway Saturday in an attempt to divert surging floodwaters from heavily populated areas in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Google and GeoEye released some before and after satellite photos Monday evening.

Also Monday evening, mapping software company ESRI released a map of flood-prone areas in Louisiana:
