Sharing The PBS NewsHour is Now a 'Snap'

We've been testing a product called SNAPPY TV for a few months now, and would like to open it up to a larger audience for testing: you. Snappy allows you to clip any highlight from a tv program and share that instantly across social networks. You can create a "snap" from your laptop/ desktop/ tablet/phone as we stream our program live every night around the country. It is a pretty intuitive interface: you press one button, the giant orange SNAP, and then move the yellow bars to either edge of where you want the video of interest to start and stop -- and that's it. You can link it to your Facebook and Twitter accounts and, with two clicks, share the clip immediately with your friends.

So far there have been a small group of Snappy loyalists clipping what strikes their fancy from our program each night, but we're hoping more of you will try it -- starting with President Obama's jobs address on Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET. We have three programs that night, at 6, 7 and 9 p.m. ET and will be streaming them all live online.
