Political Checklist: Perry's Flat Tax Plan and Obama's Executive Plan

By: Quinn Bowman

Senior Correspondents Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill and Political Editor David Chalian discuss Texas Gov. Rick Perry's plans to announce a flat tax proposal -- a policy that Woodruff and Ifill say sounds like a simple solution, until voters look at the details. Perry is trying to reignite interest in his campaign since fading from the front of the pack after dominating the field when he first jumped into the race.

The politics team also unpacks President Obama's plan to enact tiny pieces of his economic agenda via executive order and cut out Republicans in Congress, who have blocked the major portions of his jobs agenda.

Last but not least, the trio looks at Vice President Joe Biden's hint that he could possibly be a presidential candidate in 2016.
