SpaceX Readies for Historic Launch
On Saturday, if all goes as planned, the privately owned spaceflight company SpaceX will launch its Dragon capsule into low-Earth orbit and three days later dock with the International Space Station. It would be the first such flight for a private company.
Science correspondent Miles O'Brien reported on the mission earlier this month. We recently talked with him about the launch, the engineering challenges and the other private spaceflight companies vying for a chance to deliver cargo and people to low-Earth orbit.
Bonus: Watch Miles and Hari battle it out for a seat on the Dragon capsule.
