Can Your Employer Fire You Over a Facebook Posting? Weigh In Here

Howard Kurtz and Lauren Ashburn of Daily Download joined me for a discussion about how the rapidly evolving digital world is affecting the workplace.
As the New York Times reported recently, the National Labor Relations Board issued a series of rulings highlighting the complications surrounding this issue. Generally, the board found that overly broad policies were illegal. So that means it's okay to criticize your employer on Facebook or other social media platforms, in most cases.
The bigger questions we got at during the segment focused on what kind of judgment employees are using, and what types of social media are, and aren't considered part of your public profile. The answer might surprise you.
