Small Crash on Moon Could Have Big Scientific Impact

NASA sent its Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite, or LCROSS, 5.6 million miles to the Cabeus crater on the moon, firing twin rockets to the surface to test the impact plumes for water ice. The NewsHour reports on the mission.

More than four years after its expected demise, the Mars rover Opportunity continues to send back valuable data. In a new study, researchers have found evidence that an Oklahoma-sized region of the planet was shaped by years of wind and water flows.
