Meet Philadelphia

We asked 50 Philadelphians to tell us the truth about Philadelphia. We talked to everyday people: cops, teachers, students, block captains, fast food workers, preachers, government employees, crossing guards, retirees....people whose voices are rarely heard. Then we compiled their views -- their diverse, passionate opinions about the city they call home -- into a 10-part radio series for WHYY called "The Truth About Philadelphia."

Audio clips and transcripts of the series comprise this section of the Philadelphia Diary Web site. Just click on the numbers in the collage below to read descriptions of each program in the "Truth About Philadelphia" series. Or, click on the faces to meet the Philadelphians we spoke to, and hear what they had to say about the City of Brotherly Love.
