Iowa wins grand prize
Earlier in the year, S& S Productions hosted a fund-raising telethon live from Possum Lodge. Of the many stations who participated, the top 10 stations to meet their customized goal won the priviledge to host a personal visit from Red.
With an impressive 532% of target, Iowa finished on top.
In recognition of this impressive accomplishment, Steve Smith presented Iowa Public Television with a plaque to commemorate the feat.
With about 1500 fans watching from the Simon Estes Pavilion, Steve Smith spoke of his continued support of public broadcasting, and appreciation for all his fans everywhere.
