Louis J. Papa M.D., FACP is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a primary care physician and partner at Olsan Medical Group.  He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Rochester, where he helps educate internal medicine residents on primary outpatient.  In 1989, Dr. Papa graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine and came to Rochester to complete his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital where he is currently an attending physician. Dr. Papa is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a former Delegate for the Young Physicians Section representing New York State to the American Medical Association, and was named by his peers to "Best Doctors in America" in 2001.  He was selected by "Rochester Business Journal" as one of the "Forty under Forty" young community leaders in 2001 and was named as one of only 25 physicians under 40 years old nationally to receive the "Excellence in Medicine Award" from the American Medical Association Foundation for leadership in 2003. Dr. Papa is involved in a number of medical, civic and community activities and boards including his role as a board member of the largest health foundation in Upstate New York -- the Greater Rochester Healthcare Foundation, volunteer work with the uninsured, as a New York Council member for the American College of Physicians and is currently President of the local medical society.

Dr.Milberg is a counseling psychologist, Associate Professor of Family Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, where, for the past 30 years she has developed curricula, trained clinical faculty and fellows and directed core courses in medical interviewing.  Currently, she serves as Education Development Director for the Institute for Doctor-Patient Communication at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine.  Dr. Milberg is Director of Behavioral Science and Education at the Forbes Family Practice Residency Program, where she trains family physicians in communication skills and therapeutic use of the doctor patient relationship, using Balint groups.  A founding member, past president, and chair of the credentialing coordinating committee of the American Balint Society, Dr Milberg has directed and served as faculty for numerous courses designed to train Balint group leaders all over the US and in the UK.  She has published and co-authored articles on the Balint group method and its leadership skills; teaching family systems through behavioral pediatrics consultations; and faculty development for teaching women's health in a family practice residency program.  A member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, she has chaired its nominating committee and served as chair for both the Conference on Families and Health and the NE Regional Conference.

Dr. DuBeshter is director of Gynecologic Oncology and Associate Professor of Oncology in Obstetrics and Gynecology for the University of Rochester Medical Center and Strong Health. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.  Dr. DuBeshter has contributed to numerous journals, abstracts and books including a chapter titled "Gynecologic Cancers" in the textbook Clinical Oncology: A Multidisciplinary Approach. He is also the co-developer of IntelliDose software, a computer program used in over 100 sites nationwide that safeguards patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.  Dr. DuBeshter is certified by the American boards of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. He is a member of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and International Gynecologic Cancer Society.

Dr. Bobbie Gostout received her undergraduate degree from the College of St. Theresa in Winona Minnesota.  She attended Saint Mary's University of Winona for additional studies to complete a Biology Major.  Dr. Gostout received her MD degree from Mayo Medical School in 1982, and subsequently remained at Mayo for a residency in Ob/Gyn followed by a fellowship in gynecologic oncology.  She is presently a member of the Mayo section of gynecologic surgery, specializing in the care of women with gynecologic cancers.  Her research interests include translational and clinical research on HPV (human papillomavirus), the immune response to HPV infection, and prevention of cervical cancer.  Dr. Gostout is also an active participant in clinical research related to the care of women with ovarian and endometrial cancer.  She is the communications chair for the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation.

Julianne Wojciak is a genetic counselor by training.  She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Genetics from the University of Minnesota in 1997.  Julianne attended graduate school at the University of Colorado Health Science Center where she received her Masters of Science in Genetic Counseling in 2000.  In 2002, she obtained certification in genetic counseling from the American Board of Medical Genetics.  Julianne has counseled patients for prenatal, pediatric, and adult-onset genetic conditions.  She has a strong interest in cancer genetic counseling.  She has given numerous lectures to a variety of professional medical organizations as well as community groups on cancer genetics.  Julianne's current position is with the Familial Cancer Registry and Genetic Evaluation Program at the University of California, Los Angeles.  At UCLA, she counsels patients and families at risk for inherited cancer syndromes and is involved in recruitment and coordination of a variety of research studies related to hereditary cancer.  She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and the American Society of Human Genetics.

Ovarian cancer survivor

Laura is a five year survivor of stage 3 ovarian cancer.  Laura is part of a support and advocacy group for women with gynecologic cancers at Gilda's Club in Rochester, New York. She volunteers for the Ovarian Cancer Hotline through SHARE. Laura is an active member of the national organization, Ovarian Cancer National Alliance and facilitates one of their programs at the University of Rochester, Survivors Teaching Students, educating medical students about earlier detection and treatment of ovarian cancer.  As a cancer advocate, Laura has traveled to Washington, DC to lobby on Capitol Hill for cancer issues such as funding and genetic anti-discrimination legislation. In April 2007, Laura was a guest speaker at the Cancer Research Institute meeting in New York City.
