It doesn't matter if people get paid of not, credit card companies will comtinue to give them credit and they will keep digging the hole of debit deeper. If anyone is abusing the system it is the Fat Cats. And yes companies sent their factories to Mexico so they only have to pay workers 35 cents a day over keeping it here to be forced by labor laws to pay the minimum of 5.50 an hour. I think you misundetstood my last post Buby I saw what you wrote about the "theory" it was not a theory it is a fact. THINK.

Lush: You hit on two points that need to be addressed. First, the minimum wage. Right now, a mother of two forced of welfare (thanks to the right-wing welfare destruction program) has the oppotunity to get a minimum wage job and live below the poverty level. What a deal! Not only that, but, because Clinton and other conservatives killed AFDC, she gets to lose health benefits for her children shortly thereafter. Second, we are pretty much at full employment. In a system like the US has, unemployment can't really go lower then about 4.5%. Perhaps, instead of a minimum wage, we should institute a living wage, based on the radical idea that a person who works full-time should be able to support herself. Of course, this would mean abandoning capitalism, but, well, so what? boring guy

If you do your job in the factory, you stand on your feet and you move your hands. If you stand on the corner panhandling, you stand on your feet and you move your hands!
