NPR aired a special Talk of the Nation call-in program on Oct. 15, 1998, during the week of the Africans in America PBS premiere, featuring series executive producer Orlando Bagwell.

Additionally, over the two months from the premiere, their major news programs featured four reports on race and the legacy of slavery in America, as well as a Youth Diary and several commentaries on this topic.

This collaboration with NPR is funded by the National Endowment for Humanities. More information and broadcast schedules are available on the NPR Web site.
