Hilary Kay is a freelance consultant, lecturer, writer and broadcaster on antiques and collectibles. She was with Sotheby's for 22 years as auctioneer and senior director responsible for collectibles including scientific instruments, toys, dolls, automata, mechanical music, textiles, and rock and roll memorabilia. She has edited a general guidebook to British antiques and is author of Rock 'n' Roll Memorabilia, an illustrated guide to rock collectibles. In 1996 Hilary, along with fellow ANTIQUES ROADSHOW (BBC) experts Paul Atterbury and David Battie, established the Antiques Roadshow Lecture and Conference Service, a company which provides antiques-based entertainments for the corporate and private market.
