Martin Levy is the fourth generation to run the London family antique
dealing business. He was chairman of the British Antiques Dealers
Association from 1993 to 1994. He specializes in 19th-century furniture
and works of art with particular emphasis on design. He has written
extensively on 19th-century furniture for various journals including
Apollo, Country Life, and Furniture History. He
contributed to George Bullock: Cabinet-Maker (1988) and also published
Napoleon in Exile (1998).
