Rupert Maas is a fine-art dealer working from his gallery in the West End of London. The gallery specializes in Pre-Raphaelite and English Romantic pictures and was started by his father, Jeremy Maas, in the 1960s. Rupert has organized a number of important exhibitions at the gallery (John Ruskin and his circle; Pre-Raphaelites and Romantics; Victorian Paintings; British Illustrators; Burne-Jones; Victorian fairy paintings). He studied art history at Essex University and is a past chairman of the Young National Art-Collections Fund. He is responsible for co-organizing an annual trade fair in London called the Watercolours and Drawings Fair, and he is also a member of the Society of London Art Dealers.
