HUGO MORLEY-FLETCHER Ceramics & Glass
After studying fine arts at Trinity College, Cambridge, Hugo
Morley-Fletcher joined Christie's in 1963. He spent almost 28 years in
their European Ceramics department, where his posts included head of
that department, head of the Rome office and director of the company. He
is now a ceramics consultant and lectures frequently on that subject. He
has written numerous articles and several books, including one on
Meissen porcelain. He is a freeman of the City of London and liveryman
of the Worshipful Company of Dyers, and in 1999 served as their Prime
Warden. He is also a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.
