Peter Nahum is a dealer in paintings, drawings and sculpture from his gallery in St James's. He is a leading expert in Pre-Raphaelite paintings and British paintings between 1930 and 1950. He was previously a director of Sotheby's and now advises and sells to museums and private collectors throughout the world. He has been involved with the BBC's ANTIQUES ROADSHOW since 1981, and he has made several important finds, including a long-lost watercolor by Richard Dadd, which is now in the British Museum, and an album of Filipino landscapes, which was sold in 1995 for £240,000 ($360,000).
