John Sandon is head of European Pottery, Porcelain and Glass at Phillips auctioneers in London and for him, the subject is as much a hobby as a profession. He joined Phillips' London, salesrooms straight from school, and since 1988 he has been the international director of their Ceramics and Glass department, traveling extensively to inspect the world's finest collections. Like his father, Henry Sandon, John lectures widely on antiques and has written many books on porcelain and glass.
