LARS THARP Ceramics & Glass
Lecturer and author Lars Tharp specializes in ceramics and Chinese works
of art. As well as his television work, he also chairs BBC Radio 4's
antiques quiz Hidden Treasures. Born in Copenhagen, Lars studied
archaeology at Cambridge, after which he became a director and
auctioneer with Sotheby's in London. Today he runs his own consultancy
business, devising exhibitions and lecturing to a wide range of
societies and companies from Britain to China. He is a fellow of the
Royal Society of Arts, a trustee of the Museum of Worcester and director
of Leicester's International Music Festival.
