Daniel Elias is the owner of Elias Fine Art in the Allston section of Boston, Massachusetts. The gallery represents the work of contemporary artists from both America and abroad. Before opening Elias Fine Art, Dan worked in various capacities at art institutions in Massachusetts, including gallery manager and curator at the Barbara Krakow Gallery in Boston, consultant to the directors of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and to Harvard University's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts in Cambridge, and guest curator at Bernard Toale Gallery in Boston. He also helped organize ArtistBook International/The New Editions Fair (New York, New York) in 1995 and 1997, an international contemporary artists books, print and multimedia fair for publishers and dealers. Dan holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Tufts University and a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, with concentrations in sculpture and printmaking. Elias and his wife Karen Keane, a regular appraiser on ANTIQUES ROADSHOW US since its inception, live near Boston with their children.
