In-School Program
Working together to bring dance into the lives of children in the New York area during the school day, NDI teaching artists provide dance instruction to students, school teachers implement arts integrated curricula into the classroom, and in-school coordinators work in close collaboration with NDI and the school. The school hosts two performance-assemblies each year for the community to celebrate the students' accomplishments.
Scholarship Program
Selected dancers from the in-school program are invited to participate in the SWAT Team (Scholarships for the Willing, Achieving, and Talented), the Celebration Team, or the Summer Institute.
National Residency Program
NDI's team of Artists in Residence work with children, educators, and artists of a chosen school for a period of either two, four, or six weeks in order to establish a sustaining arts education program within a community.
Master Classes
NDI master teachers/choreographers offer dance workshops across the country to communities interested in a shorter-term, introductory experience.
Teacher Training Program
NDI offers two-week intensive workshops designed to train professional dancers and dance teachers in NDI's methods and techniques, which are administered periodically nationwide.
