Ed Ruscha
In 1956, 19-year old Ed Ruscha left his hometown of Oklahoma City and set out for Los Angeles in his black 1950 Ford along that mythic stretch of highway, Route 66. His paintings, photographs and films pay homage to the highway, road-tripping, and the restlessness of the American spirit.

Radio and the Road
When you're on the road, radio can be your best companion. If you're driving along the highways of eastern Tennessee, you might be lucky enough to tune into WDVX, a small, non-commercial station nestled in the heart of Appalachia's Smoky Mountains.
