photo A confessional artist, she stops at almost nothing in putting her life on display: her teenage promiscuity, her botched abortion, her alcohol abuse. The list goes on. Emin first attracted the art world's attention with a tent embroidered with the names of anyone she had ever slept with (from her twin brother in the womb to past boyfriends). Emin continues to draw upon a rich variety of media, creating photographs and films, poems and blankets, and drawings and mixed media installations that spare few personal details. EGG travels to London to see Emin's latest gallery show and to hear how the pieces represent the next chapter in her autobiographical ouevre. Emin explains why she's put her life on display and the repercussions she's suffered for it.
