Hey, birders! Think you know your stuff?
Watch the episode, then try to identify all 46 species pictured, and you could win a copy of Hummingbirds: Magic in the Air on DVD.
The first person to identify them all — or the first person with the most correct responses by Friday, January 15, 2010 at 5:00pm ET — will be the winner.
Please use either ALL common names or ALL Latin names to help us check your responses. Once we have a winner, we’ll post all of the species names and photos for your reference.

This site gives an error message when I try to submit my answers. It says the Proxy Server cannnot accept the request at this time. Not me it’s PBS.
There appear to be more species in the film than there are spaces in the form as well as some misidentifications in the film. It’ll be interesting to see the official answers and photos.
This was a spectacular program! I would like to order a DVD of Hummingbirds: Magic in the Air for my school. Please advise how I may do that. Missed phone # on t.v. last evening.

We get KCTS in Victoria Canada, but for some reason we could not tape the episode, and or watch the full episode on the internet. Is there a fix to get this show seen.
Great Episode, My favorite Nature episode this year. I am watching it again and trying to figure out all the birds, hopefully I can get them all by the 15th
Magical episode, however Trinidad is known as the land of the Hummingbirds and was not featured in the film. I truly enjoyed watching those beautiful and magical baby like creatures. What a blessing to view. Thanks PBS u know how to touch a girls heart.

Where will the list of species be published. I tested myself, but they were many I did not know. It was fun to try. Excellent production.

AS i sit here in tears thinking about all the pain that little angel went through her whole life. I am full with so much anger that anyone would do such HORRIBLE things to any one. Being honest i didn’t knew there are more Hummingbird species. When will be a winner i would like to check the list. Every day we learn something new.
Thats all very interesting but facebook friends is not the same thing as real friends. I have never met half the people I have on mine so i wouldn’t give these stats much weight
