A beautiful story of hope for the Sea Turtles. We root so hard for turtles like Adelita to make it to Japan so that she can lay her eggs on the beach. The awareness raised by Adelita's journey will help other Sea Turtles coming after her in years ahead. We must look forward to the day that all Pacific Rim and Pacific Island nations will enact laws to protect the Sea Turtles from fishing nets and the hooks of long-line fishing vessels. To lose just one turtle like Adelita to a net or hook, is one turtle too many. These turtles swim too great a distance, to have their lives ended just short of their destination, the beaches of Japan, where the next generation of Sea Turtles will be born.

We think that Adelita may have drowned in a squid fishing net, but we can't be sure. Thousands of sea turtles die in fishing nets all over the world. Make sure you're not eating seafood that contributes to this. Always ask and learn about fishing. SeafoodWatch.org

I looked forward to viewing this program, but then I missed it Sunday night. I wanted to see it so badly that I took an hour off work on Wednesday afternoon so I could watch the lonely turtle make her journey. I love turtles. I was drawn strongly to this story, and it was worth every unpaid minute! It was an altogether wonderful program.

A fascinating and touching documentary. We were floored at the end when it was revealed the first turtle being tracked ended up accidentally drowning in a researcher's net. Was this Adelita or another turtle?

I was transfixed by the story. I want everyone I know to view the document. I especially appreciated viewing and learning about the interdependence of the lives the turtle's encounters with each other...eating, dancing around each other to not get eaten, etc. Thank you so much for this incredible story of ocean lives...as land dwellers we need to respect and open our eyes and minds more to the sea. This document does just that. Most important was that incredible, lonely turtle...it reminded me of a person...

I am seeing this documentary for the first time 2 years after it was originally broadcast, and am very touched by it. I admire so much the effort made to track Adelita, and film parts of her journey! Most of all I admire and support the continued study and advocacy for sea turtle protection and conservation. At times it feels like such an uphill battle but attitudes are changing for the better among people who impact these great creatures. Thank you for this beautiful program.

I found the program very moving, but does Adelita survive in the end? It would be so wonderful if she is still alive.

I think this story is very inspiring and interesting. My favorite animal is a leatherback sea turtle, and I am interested in being a marine biolegest.I had no idea sea turtles would migrate that far!
