This week leaders of the worldwide Anglican Communion called on Zimbabwe’s president, Robert Mugabe, to step down and asked that a church representative be sent to Zimbabwe.

Watch Rev. Thomas Shaw, Episcopal bishop of Massachusetts, who visited Zimbabwe last year and talked with Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly managing editor Kim Lawton just after his return about the African country’s ongoing religious, political, and humanitarian crisis.
