What a delightful and balanced presentation Dr. Miller made! David is bilingual.
He is able to speak both in the terms of theological reflection as well as the
lexicon of our free-enterprise system. David's focus on the multiple "bottom
lines" that our society demands of our Corporations is powerful and insightful. His call
for not only the production of goods and services at a profit, but also providing
meaningful employment and sustainable environmental treatment get to the heart
of the matter. Indeed if we are going to change the culture of our economic
institutions, we are going to have to come to grips with these multiple "bottom lines".

The remark of Ms. Escobar about the silence concerning corporate greed and corruption and the failure to speak out against these money-worshipping criminals is well-taken. Our problem is our failure to think outside the box. Yrs. ago I was reading materials that indicated that this economice chaos was planned. In the words of one, they were putting the pedal to the metal to drive the world's economy into economic collapse so they could do what they pleased with creating a new world order. Did any one every read, Carroll Quigley's Tragedy & Hope (NY: Macmillan, 1965) and The Anglo American Establishment (1980-81?) along with C.S. Lewis' That Hideous Strength (1940s?) which being a work of fiction actually named one of the conspirators for real? Surprise! Surprise! Was that why he lost his job at Oxford and had to go to Cambridge? I wonder.

"The shoe is now on the big foot" Finance companies will now have to pay our rates our fees for loans if they wish to stay in business. I would say the field will be leveled however watch out for the end runs and the greedy.

I hear the sound of silence concerning corporate greed and corruption coming from the lips of the clergy. Why won't you speak out as forcefully against these money-worshipping criminals as you politically campaign against homosexuality or feminism?
