The illegal and imoral invasion of Iraq reduced the US president to the same level as Sadam Hussein, an international war criminal, who would be on trial in the Hague were it not for the superpower status of the US. I pleaded with the president not to start the war in multiple letters and I marched several times in Washington with tens of thousands of others—all to no avail. I am ashamed that my taxes contributed to the deaths of so many innocent people.
