Crossing Heaven's Border
Video: A Missionary's Perspective

Pastor Chun Ki Won is the director of Durihana, a Christian missionary organization that helps North Korean defectors make the treacherous journey along the Asian underground railroad to safety in South Korea. A former hotel manager and divorced father of two, Chun founded Durihana after witnessing first-hand the living conditions of the nearly 100,000 North Korean refugees living in hiding in northeast China. In this web-exclusive interview, Chun talks about his motivations, and describes the complex relationship that many defectors have with Christianity.

My husband and I love PBS. This story and series has really touched our hearts and we appreciate it so much. It’s so refreshing to see something real and worthwhile coming from our tv set. It makes having a television worth it. Please please keep up the good work.

Dear Pastor Chun, I really want to contact you as I have been taking bibles into China for seven years and was deeply moved by the escape of the student told
in the readers digest, I would like your help in reaching him as I would like to have him as a friend
and to give him any help he may need. God Bless your
Ministry

In Christ

even if the refugees get caught during escape and end up being executed, i really hope they at least come to have a personal relation with Jesus and receive salvation. that way they enter the real heaven.
