Kevin
Eugene Smith, Senior Producer
Kevin Eugene Smith has spent the past 21 years as a producer and reporter for
numerous national and international television organizations, primarily covering
business and financial news. Kevin has been a member of the CEO EXCHANGE team
since the first season of the series in 2000, when he served as the program’s
Field Producer. He was the West Coast Bureau Chief for the national PBS program Nightly
Business Report and more recently was a reporter/producer for the evening
magazine program Life & Times on KCET, the PBS station in Los Angeles.
Kevin also worked in business news for Japan's NHK Television, Financial News
Network (FNN), Voice of America's Worldnet Television, CNNfn, and Wall Street
Journal Television. Kevin has been a practicing lawyer and is a member of the
California and Washington, DC, bars. He is a graduate of Stanford University,
where he was the Editor of The Stanford Daily, and received his law
degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Kevin's interest in journalism
is in the "genes"; he is the son of the late LIFE magazine
photojournalist W. Eugene Smith. Kevin currently lives in San Gabriel, California.
