I have been quilting for many years – 24 in fact. I work full-time and don't get the opportunity to do what I'd like to do with my quilting but I always dream.

While dreaming – sometimes at work – I go to the Internet sites available. After many weeks of anticipation I decided to get involved in the Y2k quilt which people were talking about .... I traded 2000 pieces of fabric with quilters from all over the world.

How was I going to finish this quilt while working full time? Would you believe I broke my ankle and I was off four weeks to heal.

During that time I completed my quilt which is the State of Ohio. Two of the blocks are a picture of me and the insignia of The University of Akron where I work. My quilt is currently in Columbus where it will be displayed during the Ohio State Fair. I enjoyed this little challenge and I hope you enjoy it too!
