President Donald Trump spoke to the graduating class at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on Friday.

The president said in a statement that it was a "great honor and pleasure" to deliver remarks to the academy's Class of 2018 today.

"These fine sailors have spent the last several years preparing to lead the United States Navy in both times of peace and crisis," Trump said. "My Administration will continue to fight to ensure that our military has the necessary resources to fight the brave fight so they may return, safe and sound, to their loving families and friends," the statement continued.

Earlier this week, Vice President Mike Pence delivered the commencement speech at U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduation in Connecticut.
