Can Babies Teach us Morality?

What can one baby, three puppets and a tricky Tupperware lid tell us about the roots of morality? Can infants distinguish between good and bad at such a young age?

NewsHour science correspondent Miles O’Brien reports on research being conducted at Yale University that could shed new light on the development of morals and increase our understanding of sociopathy and psychopathy. It’s part of his weekly Science Nation series for the National Science Foundation*, which we are starting to cross-post.

Some other highlights from the series include the science behind ticket buying, the mechanics of bird flight and scientists who have designed a solar spray paint to harness the sun’s energy.
