After the death of their mother, two French Canadian siblings travel to the Middle East to discover their mother’s history and secrets: a father who they’ve never had contact with and a brother who they didn’t know existed. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and was released in U.S. theaters Friday to widespread praise.
