The annual four-day festival brings more than 1,800 musicians from around the globe to Austin, Texas, which even in normal times bills itself as the “live music capitol of the world.” Eighty stages, thousands of promoters, booking agents, journalists, bloggers, record company executives and of course fans. I visited for the NewsHour last year and had a chance to talk with Bob Boilen, who heads up All Songs Considered on NPR Music. Bob is back in Austin again this year, and once more his team will present a number of performances live over the Web. He joined me by phone: We're not going anywhere.
