Crumb) in a series of misanthropic, autobiographical comics, died at his home in Ohio at the age of 70, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Pekar’s comics were the basis for the 2003 film “American Splendor” starring Paul Giamatti as Harvey Pekar. The real Harvey sometimes occasionally in the film, and narrates this scene: * Theater seats are getting bigger, via the Wall Street Journal. * Two Russian curators have been charged with big fines but will not be sent to jail for organizing a religiously controversial exhibit, via ARTINFO.
