Jazz legend Herbie Hancock turned 70 earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean he’s slowing down in any way. He’s currently on tour with his latest endeavor, an ambitious album and documentary called “The Imagine Project,” which was recorded in seven countries with more than 60 artists.
The idea, Hancock says, is to use music to make people think about globalization in a new way. The songs all reflect themes of peace and global responsibility. Hancock chose artists from several genres of music, including Anoushka Shankar from India, Juanes from Colombia and the Chieftains from Ireland.
