Happy National Poetry Month! Today at 1:00 EDT, poet Laureate Kay Ryan will anchor a collaborative video teleconference for students at community colleges around the nation, part of a project called Poetry for the Mind’s Eye (which Ryan discussed in an interview with Art Beat last October). The conference will be streamed live on the Library of Congress website.
David Mills, a former journalist who turned to dramatic writing and producing for shows like “Homicide” and “The Wire”, died Tuesday at the age of 48. He collapsed on the set of the upcoming HBO series “Treme” from an aneurism, and died at the hospital.
