How does USA executve pay vs. average employee/laborer/worker pay compare relative to the average relationship worldwide? Paul Solman: Well, here’s the US picture over the past half century or so, as reprinted online by the eminent sociologist William Domhoff. Another interesting comparative CEO pay tool that’s online is here. It’s from the AFL–CIO, but uses public documents. I can’t find current comparisons with other countries just now, but those I’ve seen in the past consistently show the US as an outlier in the pay inequality gap, with a much wider spread than elsewhere.
