Today, Davis is an emergency medicine physician at St. Michael’s Medical Center, just blocks away from the streets of his rough past. What steps did he take to change his title from “criminal” to “doctor”? Last Wednesday, Davis spoke with PBS NewsHour correspondent Ray Suarez about his new book, “Living and Dying in Brick City,” which recounts the path he took to turn around his life.
