House Takes Up Health Reform Repeal

With Congress returning to scheduled business this week, the House of Representatives, led by Speaker John Boehner, is set to take up a proposed repeal of the health care reform law. The debate, originally scheduled for last week, was postponed after the shooting in Tucson, Ariz., that injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

Betty Ann Bowser predicts that despite calling it “The Job Killing Healthcare Repeal Law,” Republican leaders like Boehner and Eric Cantor, R-Va., “won’t be using that terminology, that they’ll be more neutral in their comments as they debate it more on the merits than using those kind of buzzwords.”

Bowser talks to Kwame Holman about what it all means for health care policy.
